Job DescriptionAssist in negotiating prices and contracts with suppliers, and evaluate performance of suppliers
Perform value analysis of alternative products, suppliers, etc.
Assist in developing tools and reports for decision making on products plan to be purchased
Assist in supply chain audits, and periodic and special inventory cycle counts. Reconcile reports and address any process related concerns with solutions
Define and create department standard operating procedures (SOPs) in planning, procurement and logistics, and be able to train first line team members
Analyze market trends and implement new processes that reduce cost and risk and ensure a quality, reliable and safe supply chain to achieve a goal of lean manufacturing
Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and implement supply chain roadmaps and timelines in alignment with company goals
Assist in overseeing hiring, training, coaching, and disciplinary actions of department staff and/or contract staff
Perform other duties as assigned
Improve the management system, system, process and norms of the procurement department
Expand supply channels, analyze and properly manage them, and supervise procurement personnel to implement the principle of shopping around while ensuring normal operation, purchase materials at reasonable prices, reduce unnecessary expenses, and ensure the maximum supply of materials with effective funds
According to the company's development needs, formulate monthly, quarterly and annual procurement plans and fund use plans
Bachelor’s degree preferred, Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management, process improvement, project management, and strategic planning in the food manufacturing industry
Knowledge and understanding of accounting systems, financial analysis, budgeting and inventory processes
Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal, organization, and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills along with computer skills, including MS Office Suite, Google Applications, and ERP systems, SAP preferred.
Must be able to motivate, coach, train, reward, and recognize employees
Ability to work flexible schedule depending on the operational needs
Have a high level of cost awareness and quality awareness: have corresponding financial knowledge and be able to perform cost accounting.
Familiar with procurement processes, familiar with supplier evaluation and assessment, and familiar with relevant quality system standards.
Have good organization and coordination skills within and across departments, good business negotiation, interpersonal communication skills and team management skills
