Water/Sewer Operator Foreman - Full-time

Objectives of this role
- Create and maintain a construction schedule with project goals and budget in mind
- Adjust and communicate changes incurred by weather and unforeseen circumstances
- Hire, train, supervise, and assign tasks to crew members
- Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are followed on construction sites
- Consult and communicate progress daily with property owners, construction manager,
and other major stakeholders
- Ensure all construction projects stay on schedule, remain within the budget, and are
completed successfully
- Calculate productivity rates and report project status to supervisors
Responsibilities
- Read project plans, drawings, specifications, and blueprints
- Create and manage schedules and monitor attendance of the crew
- Oversee construction sites and supervise the safe use of heavy machinery and equipment
- Delegate responsibilities and tasks to crew members, contractors, and other workers
according to priorities and plans
- Emphasize safe use of all tools and equipment and enforce the proper use of personal
protective equipment (PPE)

Skills and qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of and experience with construction procedures and equipment and
machinery
- Experience with traffic control
- Ability to use and maintain basic hand tools
- Knowledge of and experience with trenchwork and safe digging protocol or the
willingness to develop that knowledge and experience
- Experience with pipe handling, installation, and joining
- Familiarity with operation and maintenance of pump stations
- Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and construction plans
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to problem-solve and fix routine errors
- In-depth knowledge of safety guidelines and OSHA best practices
- Ability to lift, dig, and work in temperatures of over 95F
- Experience with emergency response protocols
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- MS Driver’s License
- Ability to pass a MDV

- Experience in a supervisory or related role
- Proven leadership skills
- Ability to drive projects to fruition on time and within budget
- Ability to hire, train, and supervise workers
- Expertise in sourcing and supervising construction materials, such as tools and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Class A drivers license a plus
