Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Payroll Specialist I to join their team. As a Payroll Specialist I, you will be part of the HR Operations supporting payroll and timekeeping functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Payroll Specialist I
Location: Charleroi, PA
Pay Range: $24.27/hr
Shift: This role will travel between 2 sites: Onsite weekly requirement: 1 day per week per site for 2hrs. The remaining time will be remote.
What's the Job?
- Assist with payroll and timekeeping administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, timecards, and related issues.
- Support the use of time and attendance systems, including reporting and testing.
- Help process pay changes such as corrections, bonuses, and reimbursements.
- Contribute to process improvements and support self-service tools for employees and leaders.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in HR, business, accounting, or related field.
- Experience working in payroll, timekeeping, or HR operations in a busy environment.
- Basic understanding of payroll processes, pay rules, and timekeeping systems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Proficiency with payroll or HR systems, preferably Workday, and basic reporting tools.
