Technical Recruiter

Position Overview
The Technical Recruiter manages sourcing and recruiting activities for technical, engineering, and IT roles. This position works closely with hiring managers to identify talent needs and develop tailored sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill technical positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and recruit candidates for technical positions across multiple departments.
  • Build candidate pipelines using proactive sourcing methods.
  • Screen applicants for technical and cultural fit.
  • Partner with hiring teams to optimize the interview and selection process.
  • Maintain candidate databases and recruitment records.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Behavioral Science.
  • Eight (8) years of technical recruiting experience (experience may substitute for degree).

Required Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of technical job markets and emerging trends.
  • Strong Boolean search and networking skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with technical sourcing tools (GitHub, Stack Overflow, LinkedIn, etc.).

Certification Requirement

  • AIRS Certified Technical Recruiter (CTR) or equivalent preferred.

Clearance Requirement

  • Must satisfy WMATA background check requirements.
