Job Description\nAmerican Traveler is seeking a Radiologic Technologist/Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience and current ARRT or ARDMS certification for variable shifts and on-call coverage.
\n \n Responsibilities\n- Work in a hospital diagnostic imaging department covering general radiology, ultrasound, MRI, CT, and mammography as needed
- Patient population includes newborns, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Responsible for performing radiographic and sonographic exams, including general abdominal, OB, and small parts ultrasounds
- Variable schedule with day or night shifts and rotating on-call responsibilities
- Must be able and willing to float between imaging modalities as assigned
- May be required to assist in general hygiene of the department and participate in quality assurance programs
- Must demonstrate the ability to provide care across the life span and adapt procedures to suit patient age and condition
- On-call response required within 20 minutes and willingness to remain within proximity during call periods
- Must be willing to pursue continuing education and maintain modality-specific competencies
- Team-based work environment with opportunities to assist in policy, procedure, and accreditation processes
- Vaccination and required documentation must be submitted prior to starting
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist or Sonographer
- Current ARRT in Radiography or ARDMS in at least one category (Abd or OB/GYN) required
- BLS certification required within 45 days of start
- Must provide 2 fingerprint cards upon acceptance
- Clinical competency must be demonstrated within 3 months of hire and every three years
- Must be able to perform all diagnostic exams relevant to the assigned modality
