- We are seeking a compassionate and highly organized Inpatient Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care to adult and geriatric patients recovering from complex medical, neurological, and traumatic conditions. \n
- This 35-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit provides comprehensive nursing care to patients working toward improved function and independence following stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation, brain injury, critical illness, and neurological disorders. \n
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, organization, compassion, and clinical problem-solving skills. \n
- Patient Population \n
- Common diagnoses and patient populations include: \n
- Stroke \n
- Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) \n
- Amputees \n
- Brain Injury (BI) \n
- Recovery following critical illness \n
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS) \n
- Parkinson's disease \n
- Other neurological diseases \n
- Adult and geriatric rehabilitation patients \n
- Staffing & Ratios \n
- RN-to-Patient Ratios: \n
- Days: 1:5 \n
- Nights: 1:6 \n
- Charge Nurse: Available on the unit. \n
RNs are not required to titrate drips on this unit.
\nCommon therapies/medications include:

- Anticoagulation \n
- Antiplatelet therapy \n
The RN will be responsible for comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, care coordination, patient education, and monitoring patients throughout the rehabilitation process.

Night Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Travelers may be required to float to Medical-Surgical units based on operational needs.
\nCandidates should be comfortable providing care within their scope and competency when floating.
Orientation\nOrientation includes:

The orientation process is designed to familiarize the traveler with facility policies, workflows, patient population, and unit expectations.

- Candidates must meet the facility's 50-mile radius requirement. \n
- A driver's license is required at submission and will be used to determine radius eligibility. \n
- Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN employees with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity. \n
- \n
- RTO must be submitted upfront. \n
- Maximum 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract. \n
- Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submission. \n
- \n
- Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient-care departments. \n
- Candidates must comply with the facility's fingernail policy. \n
- Refusal to remove prohibited artificial nails may result in contract termination. \n
During orientation, RNs must complete a pass/fail exam on Friday covering skills learned during orientation.
