Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist with active CCC-SLP and BLS certification for an acute care hospital setting, with coverage required across inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care units.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Position is based in an acute care hospital setting with responsibilities in inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care units
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Floats between various units as needed to provide coverage
  • Therapists are required to wear brown or coral tops with khaki bottoms
  • Eligible candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
  • Main responsibilities include providing speech therapy services to patients in acute, outpatient, and long-term care units
  • Modules must be completed prior to start and are included in orientation hours
  • Orientation is scheduled every other Thursday
  • Candidates with a permanent address between 75 and 100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Previous permanent employees must wait two years after last employment to return as travelers
  • Current employees of Vandalia Health System are not eligible for travel contracts at this facility

  • Current CCC-SLP certification
  • Active BLS certificate required
  • State SLP license required if applicable
  • At least 1 year of speech language pathology experience in a healthcare setting
  • Vital Stim certification preferred
  • References from at least two managers or charge staff within the past two years
