Laboratory Technician - Now Hiring

Job Title: Laboratory Technician Location: Princeton, NJ Hours / Schedule: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (37.5 hour work week), Monday - Friday, onsite Type: Contract Compensation: $20 - $25 hourly ($20 per hour for recent grads with no industry experience) Responsibilities Summary - Perform daily laboratory activities including raw material inventory, equipment verifications, lab batching and stability. Document organization relating to the above activities Prepare small-scale laboratory batches of oral and nasal care products Monitor product stability via testing (i.e. pH, viscosity) at specified time points Assist with maintaining good laboratory practices (e.g. maintaining raw material storage and inventory) Assist with some minor administrative work (e.g. filing of project documents, transferring of hard copy data into electronic files on to company intranet, assisting with product bundle book compilation) Requirements BS in Chemistry or related Life Science or an AS Degree in similar disciplines - Recent grads with strong background "may be considered"(e.g. intern/undergraduate research experience) will be considered but must be 'sharp' freshout with proven experience working independently and have the ability to take direction well and execute independently and proactively e.g. independent research 0-2 years industry experience Knowledge of or familiarity with basic wet chemistry techniques and common lab instruments - pH meter, viscometer, analytical balances Good sense for data/document handling/organization; must be able to think outside of box and understand purpose behind projects while working in a fast-paced environment Ability to multitask and be comfortable with computer data entry and management Familiarity with good chemical laboratory practices Effective communications skills Efficient in Microsoft Office Good organizational skills Benefits System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
