Third Party Billing/Coll Mgr - Now Hiring

3rd Party Collection Specialist | Chicago-Hybrid

Are you an experienced collections professional with strong negotiation skills and a passion for problem-solving? We're seeking a 3rd Party Collection Specialist to join our team and manage relationships with external collection partners while supporting internal collection efforts.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly analytical, and enjoys building partnerships to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary liaison with third-party collection agencies, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring performance.
• Conduct monthly strategy meetings with external partners and weekly/daily progress updates with internal leadership.
• Analyze account health: track placement dates, recovery status, and determine when accounts should be pulled back.
• Assist internal collections team with inbound/outbound calls, negotiations, settlements, and reconciliation plans.
• Perform skip tracing and escalate accounts as needed (e.g., filing liens).
• Confirm bankruptcy filings via PACER and court websites.
• Prepare regular reports and present updates to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of collections experience, including third-party account management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PACER.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to lead meetings and articulate strategies.
• Bilingual in Spanish is required.
• Notary certification is a plus (or willingness to become one; company will assist).

Compensation range: $50,000-$65,000 + incentives (commission & bonus)
