Opportunity:

RN - Acute Med Surg Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 AM (next day)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday shifts as needed
• Patient ratios of 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both day and night shifts
• 44-bed unit with 40 staff members
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
• Must live within 75-mile radius of hospital (driver's license verification required)
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS (both must be AHA)
• Dress code: Caribbean blue scrubs
• EMR system: Meditech 6.1 (experience preferred but not required)
• Floating required to all acute care units, cardio for medical patients, or EC for acute care patient holds
• Telemetry patients present but monitored on different unit
• CNAs available at 1:8 ratio, generally 1:10, also serve as sitters
• General orientation: 1 week (includes EMR training)
• Floor-specific orientation: 2 days
• BSN not required
• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks
