Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a 3+ years experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join their Northern California team. Flexible remote/in-office work, top-tier compensation, and opportunities for professional growth.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of WCAB litigation, hearings, and trials.

  • Communicate consistently with clients, including claims professionals, HR, and risk managers.

  • Prepare Initial Defense Analysis (IDA) and assess claim exposure.

  • Conduct depositions, QME evaluations, and expert witness interviews.

  • Achieve prompt, cost-effective resolutions of workers' compensation claims.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed California State Bar attorney in good standing.

  • Prior experience as a California workers' compensation defense attorney preferred.

  • Ability to meet 190 hours/month billable requirement (2280 hours/year).

  • Comfortable working in a paperless environment.

  • Proficiency in MerusCase, Microsoft Outlook, or similar legal software preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base + production compensation commensurate with experience ($150K-$250K).
