Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a 3+ years experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join their Northern California team. Flexible remote/in-office work, top-tier compensation, and opportunities for professional growth.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of WCAB litigation, hearings, and trials.
Communicate consistently with clients, including claims professionals, HR, and risk managers.
Prepare Initial Defense Analysis (IDA) and assess claim exposure.
Conduct depositions, QME evaluations, and expert witness interviews.
Achieve prompt, cost-effective resolutions of workers' compensation claims.
Qualifications:
Licensed California State Bar attorney in good standing.
Prior experience as a California workers' compensation defense attorney preferred.
Ability to meet 190 hours/month billable requirement (2280 hours/year).
Comfortable working in a paperless environment.
Proficiency in MerusCase, Microsoft Outlook, or similar legal software preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base + production compensation commensurate with experience ($150K-$250K).
