Sterile Processing Technician Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in a hospital or clinical setting
• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CBSPD or CRCST certification required)
• Experience with overnight shifts and rotating weekends preferred
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a healthcare environment

Sterile Processing Technician Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to hospital standards
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, inventory, and equipment tracking
• Ensure compliance with hospital infection control and safety regulations
