Sterile Processing Technician Job Details- Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)

- End Date: August 12, 2024
- Duration: 12-week contract
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
- Estimated weekly salary: $1080 - $1160
- This is a W2 contract position.
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in a hospital or clinical healthcare setting
- Current Sterile Processing Technician certification (SP Tech, CRCST, or CBSPD preferred)
- Comprehensive knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and decontamination procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital environment
- Clean, disinfect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment following hospital and healthcare protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization processes, inventory, and quality assurance records
- Inspect and test surgical instruments for proper functionality and cleanliness
- Collaborate with surgical, nursing, and clinical support staff to ensure timely delivery of sterile supplies
- Comply with all hospital safety, infection prevention, and control policies and procedures
