Be a Voice for Children as a Child Forensic Interviewer
This is a full-time, benefit eligible position working Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. This schedule does require later afternoons or weekend hours, on rare occasions.
Join a compassionate, mission-driven team working to bring hope and healing to children impacted by abuse. As a Child Forensic Interviewer at our accredited Child Advocacy Center, you will conduct trauma-informed interviews to support multidisciplinary investigations across a 10-county rural service area. This role is ideal for a collaborative professional who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
Schedule flexibility is important; occasional later afternoon and weekend availability needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct forensic interviews of children who are victims or witnesses of abuse using the ChildFirst Missouri protocol
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (MDT) partners before and after interviews to ensure coordinated care and case response
- Document interviews and provide timely written summaries for MDT members
- Testify in court proceedings as an expert witness when needed
- Support training, education, and prevention efforts within the community and among MDT professionals
- Participate in continuing education, peer review, and agency quality improvement
- Assist with case updates and review meetings when needed, using tools like NCAtrak to manage documentation
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work or related field
- 1 to 2 years of experience in the field of child abuse/neglect and/or related field
