Be the First Step Toward Healing as an Assessment Clinician – Supporting Access to Mental Health Care
This is a full-time, benefit eligible position working Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
As an Assessment Clinician (Internal title: Client Access Specialist), you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals access the care they need, right when they need it. Whether working remotely or in-office, you’ll provide timely, compassionate assessments and guide clients into services that support their wellness and recovery goals. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments for individuals accessing care.
- Determine service needs and coordinate client enrollments across multiple programs.
- Provide brief therapy and develop treatment plans where applicable.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
- Support the Open Access process by guiding referral flow and client engagement.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation per agency and state standards.
- Provide culturally responsive and trauma-informed services to diverse populations.
- Respond to walk-in behavioral health crises.
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or psychology required
- PLPC, PLMFT, or LMSW in Missouri required
- LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in Missouri preferred
- At least three (3) years’ experience preferred
- Working knowledge of DSM-5 required
