Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience for a daytime role at a short-term acute care Level III trauma hospital.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in an acute care hospital setting with a Level III trauma designation
  • Day shift schedule, four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
  • Expected patient caseload of 9-11 patients per day
  • Floating between units within the facility is required
  • Epic EMR utilized
  • Inpatient rehab experience is preferred but not required
  • All travelers should be prepared to float within the facility as needed
  • Returning staff must wait at least 3 months before working as a traveler
  • Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a lower pay rate
  • Flexible scrub colors allowed for all units
  • Modules must be completed prior to start and annually thereafter
  • Minimal to no RTO granted; all requests must be submitted up front
  • Team-oriented environment with strong communication expected

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care OT experience
  • Current Allied license in hand
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references from the past 3 years within a comparable specialty
  • Experience with Epic charting required
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently while maintaining schedule
