Job Description
RHOG Care Homes is seeking a dedicated and experienced Group Home Administrator to oversee the administrative and programmatic operations of our Level 4 residential facility for children. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and compliant environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Compliance Management
Ensure 100% compliance with all relevant California state licensing regulations (Title 22), Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) requirements, and other applicable laws for a Level 4 Group Home setting.
Maintain and update the facility's Plan of Operation, policies, and procedures.
Oversee financial management, including budget preparation, expenditure control, and proper documentation.
Manage facility maintenance to ensure a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment for children and staff.
Develop, maintain, and implement written complaint procedures for children and authorized representatives.
Coordinate and participate in licensing inspections and audits, developing and implementing any required Plans of Correction.
Program Oversight & Resident Care
Direct and evaluate the facility's operations and programs, focusing on the well-being of children ages 7 - 17 years old.
Demonstrate strong knowledge and experience with regulations for the placement of children in foster care and residential settings.
Ensure the implementation of each child's Needs and Services Plan, collaborating with social workers, Regional Center staff, and other service providers.
Oversee the coordination of ancillary services such as medical, dental, vision, mental health, and educational services.
Promote the personal rights and dignity of all residents, ensuring an environment free from abuse and corporal punishment.
Staff Leadership & Development
Lead recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training of all group home staff, ensuring a qualified and empathetic team.
Provide direct supervision and performance evaluations for all employees, fostering a collaborative and professional work culture.
Develop a plan for staff orientation, development, and continuing education as required by state regulations.
Delegate responsibilities and organize the work of the facility effectively.
Minimum Qualifications
Must possess a current, active California Group Home Administrator License/Certification (or equivalent, as required by CCLD).
Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience as an Administrator or in a supervisory/administrative role within a licensed residential program for children or persons with developmental disabilities.
Proven ability to work effectively in a Level 4 Group Home environment serving children and adolescents.
Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying complex state and federal regulations concerning residential care and placement of children.
Strong leadership, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills.
Ability to receive and maintain a California Background Clearance through the Department of Social Services.
Compensation & Schedule
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (Minimum 32 Hours per week).
Schedule: Flexible schedule is available, with the expectation of being on-premises for the hours necessary to manage the facility in compliance with law and regulation.
Location: Hybrid model, requiring a minimum of two (2) days in the office each week for on-site administrative duties and oversight
