Job Description
Summary
The Senior Lead Community Ambassador works closely with the Project Director and Community Ambassadors to ensure consistent, high-quality hygiene services for all ReFresh Spot guests. They support daily operations, including showers, restrooms, and laundry, and serve as a point of coordination in the Project Director’s absence. This role helps guide and direct the daily activities of Community Ambassadors to ensure facilities are clean, sanitized, and well-stocked. It is a physically demanding, entirely outdoor position that requires flexibility for weekend and evening shifts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with the Project Director to coordinate and monitor daily hygiene operations, including showers, restrooms, and laundry services.
2. Track attendance, manage callouts and communicate staffing or performance concerns promptly to the Project Director.
3. Work closely with Community Ambassadors to ensure tasks are completed and stations remain clean, safe, and welcoming.
4. Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure stations are well-stocked and meet cleanliness and safety standards.
5. Serve as the point of contact for guests and staff in the Project Director’s absence to ensure uninterrupted service.
6. Document and report incidents, performance concerns, or policy violations to the Project Director.
7. Greet guests, explain available resources, and direct them to appropriate on-site services.
8. Perform laundry-related tasks, including collecting, sorting, and distributing.
9. Collect guest and community feedback to improve service delivery and document concerns as appropriate
10. Assist with data tracking, supply monitoring, and preparation of reports related to service use and program needs.
11. Participate in required staff meetings, trainings, and help maintain a drug- and alcohol-free environment
12. Perform other related duties as assigned to support effective program operations
Minimum Credential, Education, and Experience
Associate’s degree in social work, public health, psychology, sociology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work or lived experience (such as homelessness, incarceration, or substance use).
Language and Communication Skills
1. Fluent in English and Spanish is preferred.
2. Ability to speak effectively and respectfully before groups, residents/participants, and family members.
3. Ability to write and document legibly.
Other Requirements
1. Familiar with the principles of 12-Step programs and/or philosophy and Trauma-Informed Care.
2. Current CPR and First Aid Certifications.
3. Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work demands.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
5. A valid government-issued picture ID.
6. Flexibility to adapt to changing work demands, priorities, and schedules.

8. Availability to work irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts as needed.
9. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions; 100% of duties will be performed outside.
10. Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, and kneel frequently throughout the shift.
11. Ability to use hands and fingers to operate tools and handle supplies.
12. Regularly able to lift and move up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds.
