Pipeyard Helper

This position is primarily responsible for assisting the forklift operator with loading/unloading

product onto or from trucks and moving pipe within the yard.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours and weekends (normal schedule: 50 hrs)
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Stable work history, preferably in an industrial environment
• Reliable transportation
• Committed to working safely at all times including a commitment to the policies and
• procedures of the operation
• Positive attitude; good team player

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to follow both verbal and hand signal instructions to identify pipe to be moved
• Verifies heat numbers, quantity, and complete chocking of pipe
• Installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
• Painting, stenciling, sandblasting, coating pipes
• Observe all safety precautions and wear appropriate PPE at all times
• Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed
• Maintain Housekeeping in assigned work area
• Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 lbs. occasionally and frequently exert 10
• to 20 lbs. of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects
• Work involves long periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching; may also
• include climbing ladders and staircases
• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions – heat, cold, rain
