Salary Range: $78,000 - $118,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for optimizing inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing carrying costs.
- Oversee the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of materials to ensure efficient and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, including contract negotiation, quality assurance, and on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with production, sales, and engineering teams to align material planning with production schedules and sales forecasts.
- Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems and processes to ensure accuracy and traceability of materials.
- Analyze material usage, lead times, and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the materials management team to foster a high-performance culture.
Recommended Qualifications
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in materials management or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory control, procurement, and production planning.
- Strong understanding of demand forecasting, inventory optimization techniques, and supplier relationship management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and/or APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP).
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
- Experience with advanced data analytics for supply chain optimization.
- Proficiency in a specific, highly complex ERP module (e.g., SAP APO).
- Background in international logistics and customs compliance.
