Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an IR Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care, Level I Trauma facility with 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT (R) certification required.

  • Acute care hospital setting within a dedicated Interventional Radiology unit
  • \n
  • Unit consists of 2 general IR suites, 1 spine IR room, and 2 neuro endo suites
  • \n
  • Typical caseload of 5–10 cases per day
  • \n
  • Common procedures include GI/GJ tube placements, port insertions, angiograms, lumbar punctures, myelograms, nephrostomy tubes, stents, IVC filters, and blood patches
  • \n
  • Neuro endovascular procedures (embolizations, stents, stroke treatment) are a plus; candidates with primarily neuro IR backgrounds may also be considered
  • \n
  • Sedation cases are staffed with 2 RNs; RT scrubs with MD
  • \n
  • Charting via Cerner EMR; PACS (DR) system also in use
  • \n
  • Day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8 hours (8:30 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM)
  • \n
  • Some Saturday shifts may be required
  • \n
  • No call requirement
  • \n
  • No floating outside of the Radiology department
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Minimum of 2 years of IR/interventional radiology experience required
  • \n
  • Level I Trauma experience required
  • \n
  • ARRT (R) certification required
  • \n
  • BLS certification required
  • \n
  • Arizona MRTBE-CRT state license required if applicable
  • \n
  • VI (Vascular Interventional) certificate is a plus but not required
  • \n
  • Scrub experience preferred
  • \n
  • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
  • \n
  • Experience with Philips Allura and Medrad injector preferred
  • \n
  • A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration
  • \n
  • 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
  • \n

  • Candidate must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates, as determined by permanent address on driver's license
  • \n
  • Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by a CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
  • \n
  • A manager interview is required as part of the selection process
