Description

This is a full-time, direct placement role at Climate Systems.


Climate Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced and driven HVAC Team Lead to lead field operations, manage a team of commercial HVAC technicians, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service and installations. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a positive, customer-focused attitude to set a standard for the team to follow.

• Ensure the team maintains a professional appearance by wearing appropriate Climate Systems, LLC uniforms and hold team members accountable to do the same.

• Actively support upper management in setting clear goals and expectations for the team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

• Exhibit support for companywide initiatives, regardless of personal opinion, to foster a cohesive and motivated team environment.

• Serve as a safety role model for the team, ensuring safety procedures are followed and promoting a culture of safety on job sites. • Ensure safe work practices are implemented, and the work environment remains safe. Provide necessary job site safety training in line with OSHA regulations and Climate Systems safety policies.

• Ensure team members use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) daily and maintain an understanding of its proper use.

• Understand the impact of company safety ratings on our ability to perform work for high-level, quality customers and guide the team to maintain high standards.

• Work closely with Service Coordinators to meet customer needs and foster a strong, cohesive team dynamic.

• Oversee daily service calls and ensure timely completion of electronic paperwork for the billing process.

• Assist in managing parts orders to ensure timely return to the client and avoid delays.

• Mentor team members on the importance of timely and efficient service call completion and reinforce its significance within the team.

• Participate in the on-call service rotation, ensuring availability to address urgent customer needs.

• Support sales efforts by helping to build strong customer relationships and actively assisting in selling additional work when opportunities arise.

• Assist the Sales team by conducting job site surveys and providing valuable input for estimates.

• Identify and address job site safety concerns, working closely with the Sales Team to ensure safe practices are followed.

• Ensure the team is proficient in utilizing Vendor and OEM Apps to troubleshoot, identify part numbers, check availability, and assess costs.

• Lead the rollout of these Apps to the team, ensuring that everyone is properly trained to maximize efficiency.

• Identify and implement industry-specific software tools and devices needed to maintain operational effectiveness and meet customer needs.

• Keep a current library of HVAC product information related to installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair to support team members.

• Ensure team members are proficient in using specialized software tools, offering guidance on their operation and best practices.

• Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC service

• Prior experience supervising or mentoring technicians in a field-based role

• EPA Universal Certification (required)

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for complex HVAC systems

• Proficiency with OEM/vendor apps and HVAC-related software tools

• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to jobsite safety

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
