Salary Range: $57,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate new suppliers to ensure a robust and reliable supply chain.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
• Issue and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Monitor inventory levels and material forecasts to prevent stockouts and minimize obsolescence.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams on material specifications and lead times.
• Resolve supplier performance issues related to quality, delivery, and invoicing discrepancies.
• Identify and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain.

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing/procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles and inventory control.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings.

Bonus Qualifications

• Deep technical understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, or engineering drawings.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CPIM).
• Proficiency in advanced ERP/MRP functionalities for forecasting, demand planning, or inventory optimization.
