Salary Range: $59,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate new suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
• Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production to optimize material availability and minimize stockouts.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality departments to ensure purchased materials meet technical and quality standards.
• Conduct market research to identify supply chain trends, potential risks, and alternative sourcing options.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of direct purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for purchasing functions.
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, or bills of material.
• Proven track record of achieving cost savings and supply chain efficiencies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and technical specifications (e.g., machining, injection molding).
• Experience with advanced ERP/MRP functionalities or implementation projects.
• Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certification/experience.
• Experience in global sourcing and managing international supply chains.
