Controller - Construction Industry
Location: On-site, M-F, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (some flex)

Our client, a well-established union construction company, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their team. This role is fully on-site and offers a professional environment, strong leadership, and opportunities for long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of construction accounting, including AIA billing, payments, and continuation applications
• Process Union payroll, certified payroll including taxes and correspondences to union shop.
• Collaborate with project managers on billing, expenses, and job costing
• Oversee reconciliations and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Support operational and financial decision-making with timely and accurate data

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or specific union construction experience
• 5+ years of accounting experience within a construction company environment
• Strong knowledge of AIA billing and construction project accounting
• Preferred: experience with Sage 300 (preferred), NetSuite, MS Dynamics or ERP software for general contractors, specialty contractors, construction managers, and real estate developers.
