Now Hiring: Cost Accountant

 

Location: Cypress, CA (Onsite)

Industry: Manufacturing

Reports to: Operations Controller

You’ll support plant operations with cost analysis, inventory control, and financial reporting. Your work guides key decisions and drives profitability.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze raw material, labor, and overhead costs

• Track actual vs. standard costs—explain variances

• Support multiple plant managers on cost and inventory issues

• Maintain cost accounting systems and BOMs

• Handle month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations

• Support physical inventory and cycle counts

• Drive financial reporting and improvement projects

• Back up other cost accountants as needed

 

What You’ll Bring

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience

• 3–5 years of cost accounting in manufacturing

• Strong Excel and ERP experience

• Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented

• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple tasks

 

Bonus Skills

• Power BI or other business intelligence tools

• Database/reporting experience

• Solid understanding of inventory and ROI metrics
