Meal Transporter (Local Government) - Lebanon Co Area Agency on Aging (Part-Time Multiple Vacancies)

As a part-time Meal Transporter, you will help the Lebanon County Area Agency on Aging team provide a valuable service to people aged 60 and older, one of the fastest growing segments of the population. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will complete essential meal deliveries to elderly residents in our community. Responsibilities include ordering and documenting meals each delivery day and reporting changes in each person's condition to the office as soon as possible. In your interactions with our seniors, you will have the chance to provide compassion and understanding for their problems and hardships, as well as appreciation for their accomplishments and achievements. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Part-time employment.
• Note: Selected candidate must use their own personal vehicle to deliver meals.
• Work hours are typically 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday - Friday. Hours are subject to change depending on weather, route, driving conditions, or other factors.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: $12.38 + Mileage. In addition to the hourly rate, selected candidate will receive the current IRS mileage rate. In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Six months of experience which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

• You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.

Conditions of Employment:

• No suspension of driver's license within the last three years.

• Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Lebanon County. If no eligible candidates who live within Lebanon County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
