  • Job Summary:The PA will provide general medical care to all age groups with a wide variety of medical conditions. Will be responsible to perform comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, intervention, management, referral, and evaluation of client care across the continuum of health care services. The PA will provide leadership and actively participate in program development and evaluation, research, and clinical teaching activities. Essential Functions: Participate in all treatment and preventative health care services in the department as delegated and agreed by the supervising physician in the office. Assess patients Äô health and their demands and aim to fulfill them as well as possible. Issue appropriate prescriptions and administer medicine. Inform physicians about any problems or discrepancies that might arise. Acquire and review patient histories identifying abnormal conditions. Monitor patients Äô progress and keep records of treatments, surgeries, or other medical events. Attending emergencies and aid during surgeries. Prepare patients for examinations and conduct routine procedures (measure blood pressure and temperature, administer injections, etc.). Provide therapeutic treatments (disinfecting wounds, stitching, etc.). Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients. Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards. Collaborate effectively with team members of various specializations. Other duties may be delegated by the physician depending upon experience and training as hospital or clinic privileges allow. Ability to speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop-down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements:
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor Äôs degree, together with a certificate from completing an American Medical Association approved physician assistant program.
  • Preferred Education: PAC
  • Minimum Experience: 1-2 years Äô experience as a PA
  • Preferred Experience: 1-2 years Äô experience as a PA
  • Required License: PAC
  • Preferred License: Not Applicable
  • Required Certification: BLS
