Surgery - Thoracic Physician - Now Hiring

We are seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a 91-day locum tenens assignment with our client in Indiana. This opportunity begins on Dec 22, 2025, and features 24-hour call coverage. The ideal candidate will provide adult cardiac and general thoracic surgical care, managing a range of complex procedures throughout the assignment.

• Schedule: 24-hour call coverage from Dec 22, 2025, to Jan 5, 2026, with potential for ongoing sporadic coverage

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform adult cardiac surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and arterial revascularization using internal mammary, radial, and gastroepiploic arteries
• Conduct redo coronary revascularization with or without heart valve surgery
• Manage tube thoracostomy and pericardial window procedures
• Perform general thoracic surgeries including thoracotomy lung biopsy, lung resections and pneumonectomy, thoracotomy decortication, chest wall resection and reconstruction, mediastinal surgery, and mediastinotomy with biopsy
• Complete heart valve repair and replacement surgeries, including CoreValve system and mitral valve repair

Additional Information

• Must hold an active Indiana medical license
• Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required
• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification required
• Experience with adult patient populations necessary
