This hospital is an established healthcare facility providing comprehensive medical services to the Washington community and surrounding areas. The facility features a 12-bed gastroenterology department with a Level 3 trauma designation and Level 2 pediatric capabilities.

Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:
• Coverage needed for 24-hour shifts (7am-7am) through the end of 2026, with 5-11 shifts per month on specified dates
• Active Missouri medical license required due to urgent start (IMLC not accepted)
• Board certification required with approximately 30-90 day credentialing timeframe
• Manage 0-6 patient encounters per shift
• Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsies, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varices
• Conduct lower GI endoscopy including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
• Perform colonoscopies with biopsy and polyp excision capabilities
• Handle PEG procedures and esophageal dilatation/manometry with interpretation
• Conduct small bowel biopsies and liver biopsies
• Manage Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertions
• ERCP and EUS not required for hospital ED/call and clinic call
• No mid-level support available
• Must hold current ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications

Compensation:
