Join a leading team in the data center construction industry as a Superintendent III, specializing in Data Center Retrofit projects in Middletown, VA. The Superintendent/MEP Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring retrofit projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. Responsibilities
  • Supervise on-site activities for electrical and mechanical retrofit work, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Oversee the installation, upgrade, and commissioning of electrical power distribution systems, including switchgear, UPS systems, PDUs, busways, and low-voltage wiring, ensuring compliance with NFPA, NEC, and data center standards.
  • Manage the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems such as HVAC, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, and piping, ensuring seamless integration with electrical infrastructure.
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site audits to verify that all work meets safety and quality specifications.
  • Develop and maintain detailed look-ahead schedules to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, inspections, and change orders; provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Foster effective communication and customer service with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure strict adherence to critical facility work rules, safety procedures, and industry standards.
  • Stay current with all applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as requested.
Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution and HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience writing reports and procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer relations skills.
  • OSHA 30, NFPA 70E certifications, and familiarity with ASHRAE standards preferred.
  • Degree or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Construction Management preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical construction, with supervisory experience; data center retrofit experience strongly preferred.
  • Recommended certifications in Electrical, Mechanical, or Construction Management.
Compensation

Salary range: $84,000 to $125,000 (negotiable for well-qualified candidates)
