Job Summary:
\n Following established protocols and under the medical supervision of certified radiologists, MRI Technologists perform imaging procedures for diagnostic interpretation. They ensure patient care and safety during procedures, provide age-appropriate care, and assist radiologists as needed. Responsibilities include supervising student MRI Technologists, maintaining good customer relations, and adhering to hospital and safety policies. Technologists are expected to efficiently utilize imaging equipment, minimize repeat examinations, and ensure accurate documentation in computer systems. They must communicate effectively with patients, families, and radiologists, while maintaining confidentiality and promoting the mission and values of the healthcare organization.

Required Qualifications:
\n - Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
\n - Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card
\n - Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professionals

Preferred Qualifications:
\n - Experience in cross-sectional anatomy or MRI

Additional Information:
\n - Frequent standing, walking, and lifting/moving patients
\n - Intermittent lifting, moving, or carrying up to 50 lbs
\n - Exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and radiation
\n - Requires work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours
\n - May require on-call duties and work on weekends/holidays
\n - Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards
\n - Strong interpersonal and communication skills
\n - Ability to operate MRI and post-processing equipment
