Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 2 years of critical care experience and STEMI on-call availability.

Details\n

\n
• Work in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab of a hospital environment
\n
• 4-day, 9.5-hour AM shift schedule from 7am-5pm
\n
• 37.5 hours per week
\n
• STEMI on-call requirement of 10-12 shifts per month, including 1-2 weekends (Friday 5pm-Monday 7am)
\n
• May float to sister hospital as needed
\n
• Uses Epic for charting
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active NJ or compact RN license required
\n
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
\n
• Minimum 2 years critical care experience required
\n
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
\n
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
\n
• Epic EMR experience preferred
\n

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric
\n
• Deliver competent clinical care including emergency equipment and procedure knowledge
\n
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing care and patient progress
\n
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education
\n
• Support Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) order evaluation and completion
\n
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and patient identification procedures
\n
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
\n
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from initial start date, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning
\n
