Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced 1st Class Scaffold Carpenter to join our day-shift team at a shipyard facility. The ideal candidate is skilled in building, installing, and dismantling scaffold systems in accordance with safety guidelines and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hang, build, modify, and remove scaffolding systems in various shipyard environments.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine scaffold requirements.
  • Ensure all scaffolds meet OSHA and shipyard safety standards.
  • Inspect scaffolding for proper assembly, stability, and safety compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with other trades and supervisors to support ongoing projects.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of shipyard experience in scaffold carpentry.
  • Proficient in hanging scaffold and assembling complex layouts.
  • Strong knowledge of scaffold materials, components, and safe-work practices.
  • Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding conditions.
  • Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial setting.
