Director of Nursing - Cardiovascular
Salary Range: $120,000–$145,000
Signing Bonus: Negotiable

About the Company
A healthcare organization in West Virginia is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Director of Cardiovascular Services (DCS) to lead a growing Cardiovascular and Cath Lab department. This role reports directly to executive nursing leadership and plays a critical part in advancing cardiovascular care delivery.
About the Role
The Cardiovascular Services department includes a dual-bay Cath Lab and performs approximately 1,200 cardiology and vascular procedures annually, supported by 24/7 STEMI coverage. The service line encompasses a full spectrum of cardiovascular and vascular care, supported by a multidisciplinary clinical team. The selected leader will drive service line strategy, operational excellence, quality performance, and staff development across the continuum.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for all Cardiovascular Services operations.
- Develop and implement the strategic plan for the cardiovascular service line.
- Improve patient outcomes, cost efficiency, and overall care experience.
- Design and evaluate programs to maximize quality and performance.
- Ensure compliance with clinical, accreditation, and safety standards.
- Build strong working relationships with surgeons, anesthesia providers, advanced practice providers, and hospital leadership.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop perioperative nursing and clinical staff.
- Oversee staff competency, education, and adherence to safety standards.
- Support financial performance and resource stewardship.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current WV RN license (or eligibility for licensure)
- 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in Cardiovascular Services
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively
- BLS & ACLS (or obtained within designated timeframe)
