Job Description
The Counterintelligence/HUMINT Operational Support Specialist provides tailored intelligence support to MARCENT, focusing on counterintelligence and human intelligence operations within the USCENTCOM area of responsibility. This role assists with the management and analysis of CI/HUMINT operational requirements, reviews reporting to identify critical information, and supports decision-making through the production of briefs and analytical products. The specialist also coordinates with DoD and partner CI/HUMINT elements to ensure synchronization of operations and effective information sharing. By combining technical knowledge of intelligence tools with strong analytical and communication skills, the CI/HUMINT Operational Support Specialist enables MARCENT to anticipate threats, exploit opportunities, and maintain operational advantage in the region. ***THIS EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD***
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Assist with management and analysis of CI/HUMINT operational requirements.
- Review HUMINT reporting, identify critical information, and support decision-making.
- Support the production of CI/HUMINT briefs and reports.
- Coordinate with DoD and partnered CI/HUMINT teams for synchronization of operations.
Supplemental Duties:
- Support integration of CI/HUMINT reporting into MARCENT intelligence products.
- Assist in preparing leadership briefings on CI/HUMINT trends.
- Contribute to development of standard operating procedures for CI/HUMINT coordination.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain compliance with MARCENT administrative procedures and reporting timelines.
- Ensure CI/HUMINT records and reports are archived properly in accordance with classification guidance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Education/Experience/Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Intelligence, International Relations, or related field preferred.
- MAGTF CI/HUMINT Course
-7-10 years experience. Prior USMC MOS 0211 preferred.
- Strong understanding of CI/HUMINT operations.
- Familiarity with HUMINT reporting formats and intelligence tools.
- Analytical writing and briefing skills.
- TS/SCI clearance required.
Additional Skills:
- Ability to conduct detailed analysis of HUMINT reports to identify key intelligence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and intelligence community software tools.
- Strong briefing and presentation skills for senior leadership.
- Coordination skills for working with multi-agency CI/HUMINT teams.
Location:
Primary workplace is MARCENT Headquarters, MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida.
Work Environment:
Office environment within a joint military/civilian/contractor staff. May involve secure facility operations and coordination with deployed or external intelligence teams.
Physical Demands:
Primarily sedentary work with extensive computer use and classified document handling. May include occasional travel or deployment support.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday–Friday, 0800–1600.
May require flexibility for operational requirements.
License and Other Requirements:
Valid U.S. Driver’s License. Eligibility for issuance of a Common Access Card .
