Retail Loss Prevention Officer

Position Overview

Valcor Security is hiring experienced Retail Loss Prevention Officers for a high-traffic store at The Grove. This position requires a polished, sharp, and highly attentive officer capable of working in a premium retail environment. Candidates must demonstrate strong presence, discipline, and the ability to maintain a high standard of customer interaction while proactively preventing theft.

Loss Prevention experience and store retail experience are mandatory.
Law enforcement professionals, retired or off-duty, and military veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation $20 to $21 per hour plus performance-based bonuses

Key Responsibilities

Active Floor Presence:
Maintain a continuous presence throughout the store, monitor customer flow, and ensure a safe and organized environment based on operational standards in the proposal. 

Loss Prevention Operations

• Identify suspicious behavior with strong situational awareness
• Monitor high-risk zones
• Conduct fitting room article counts
• Perform receipt verification when appropriate
• Assist staff during peak traffic periods

Professional Customer Interaction:
Maintain a clean, sharp, well-groomed appearance at all times.
Engage customers politely while remaining discreet and observant.

Incident Response:
Respond immediately to disturbances, coordinate with mall security and law enforcement, and document incidents accurately.

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid BSIS Guard Card
• Loss Prevention experience in a retail store environment
• Retail store customer service or sales-floor experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, sharp, clean presentation suitable for a high-end retail setting
• Ability to stand and remain active throughout the entire shift
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to follow protocol and maintain chain of command
• Weekend and evening availability required
• Military or law enforcement background considered a strong advantage
