The Journeyman Admin Support provides administrative assistance across MARCENT HR, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in managing personnel documentation and clerical workflows. This includes drafting, processing, and tracking official awards, correspondence, and service records, maintaining personnel files, and providing clerical support to HR functions. The role ensures MARCENT HR processes remain organized and responsive to operational requirements. ***THIS EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD***

Responsibilities/Duties:

- Draft, process, and track awards, correspondence, and service records.

- Maintain accurate document and personnel files.

- Provide clerical support for HR workflows.

Supplemental Duties:

- Assist in coordinating HR-related meetings and events.

- Provide customer service to MARCENT personnel on administrative matters.

- Support preparation of HR reports and data entry into personnel systems.

Administrative Duties:

- Ensure HR administrative documentation is maintained in compliance with USMC records standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Education/Experience/Qualification:

- High School Diploma required.

- 3–5 years administrative support experience, preferably personnel-focused.

- Secret clearance required.

Additional Skills:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite .

- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate files and records.

- Attention to detail in drafting and processing personnel documentation.

- Effective interpersonal communication skills for interacting with MARCENT personnel.

Location:

Primary workplace is MARCENT Headquarters, MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida.

Work Environment:

Office environment within a joint military/civilian/contractor staff. Position requires frequent interaction with HR personnel and MARCENT staff.

Physical Demands:

Primarily sedentary work involving extensive computer use and handling of personnel files.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday–Friday, 0800–1600.

License and Other Requirements:

Valid U.S. Driver’s License. Eligibility for issuance of a Common Access Card.

Security Clearance:

Secret clearance required.

Travel:

Minimal travel may be required to support HR administrative activities.
