Job Summary

The Department of Mathematics at the University of North Georgia invites applications for full-time lecturer in Mathematics on the Oconee campus beginning August 1, 2026. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Responsibilities

• The faculty member will be expected to teach five classes per semester.
• Some evening teaching may be required.
• Teaching of core mathematics classes and Learning Support mathematics is expected.
• This is a full-time teaching position with no research or service expectations.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in mathematics or closely related field is required.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential, which could also include teaching secondary mathematics.
• While the successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of courses, preference will be given to candidates with an interest in and record of excellence in teaching core curriculum courses and learning support. A record of excellence in teaching mathematics in K-12 is also considered a plus.
