Job Description
Job Title: Shipping Clerk
Reports to: Shipping Manager
Hours: Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm, Saturdays as needed
Pay: $23-25 hr.
Locatoin: Naperville, IL
Responsible for preparing, processing, and coordinating all outbound and inbound shipments. Duties include generating shipping documents, packaging and labeling products, scheduling carriers, maintaining accurate ERP records, and supporting overall shipping operations.
Primary ResponsibilitiesProcess shipments and maintain records in JobBOSS or similar ERP system.
Create Bills of Lading, packing lists, labels, and other documents.
Prepare, package, weigh, and inspect outgoing shipments.
Schedule and track shipments with approved carriers.
Communicate shipment status and coordinate with internal teams.
Receive and inspect incoming materials and ensure proper documentation.
Maintain chemical inventory and appropriate storage conditions.
Keep shipping area clean, safe, and organized.
Assist other departments as needed.
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Strong communication, math, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
English required; Spanish a plus.
Must be a U.S. Person.
Understanding of shipping procedures in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with ERP systems preferred.
Forklift/pallet jack experience; certification preferred.
Crane experience a plus.
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
Ability to wear required PPE.
Ability to work in varied conditions during loading/unloading
