  • Liaise with title companies, brokers, property managers, surveyors, and municipal offices.
  • Prepare and compile exhibits, including real estate maps, plats, and title histories, for litigation or hearings.

Client & Third-Party Coordination

  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, witnesses, experts, real estate professionals, and vendors.
  • Schedule meetings, property inspections, appraisals, depositions, and court reporters.
  • Draft and send routine correspondence and follow-up communications.

Administrative Support

  • Manage attorney calendars and deadlines, including filing deadlines and real estate-related milestones.
  • Assist with billing entries, timekeeping, and client invoicing.
  • Perform general office duties such as scanning, copying, mailing, and file organization.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred; paralegal certificate a plus.
  • Experience: 1–3+ years as a legal assistant with experience in litigation and real estate matters (transactional, litigation, or both).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management/e-filing systems.
  • Familiarity with real estate documents, title issues, and recording procedures.
  • Excellent grammar, writing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, Everlaw, Logikcull).
  • Knowledge of local property records systems and court filing procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret legal descriptions, plats, leases, and other property-related documents.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork mentality.
