Job Description
About the Role:
As a CDL-A Driver at Sun Valley Foods Co., you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. You will be an integral part of our transportation and logistics team, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to our customers. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be critical in this role. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of deliveries and ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid CDL-A license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in transportation and logistics
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices
- Ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle issue
- No weekends 90% of the time home every day
Responsibilities:
- Transport goods and materials to various locations in a safe and timely manner
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and complete all necessary paperwork
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members
Skills:
In this role, you will utilize your CDL-A license and driving skills to transport goods and materials to various locations. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be critical in ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and without incident. Additionally, your communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in working effectively with dispatch and other team members. Your problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues will also be valuable in this role.
Finally you will be delivering to Michigan prisons so you will be required to obtain a Lein clearance which means no criminal convictions.
4am-5am until route is completed...generally 10-11 hours per day. Monday through Friday. No weekends.
CDL A drivers generally work 10 to 11 hours per day Monday through Friday.
