As a Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for positioning patients and adjusting equipment for routine radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. You will instruct patients regarding procedures and observe their vital signs during examinations. Adherence to prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment and using radiation protection is crucial. You will select the length and intensity for radiation exposure based on individual patient needs and authorize the release of patients upon completion of imaging examinations. Delivering diagnostic images to radiologists for reading and interpretation, administering contrast media, and providing appropriate instructions are essential tasks. You will contribute to equipment and supply purchase decisions, perform fluoroscopic studies following department protocols, and maintain patient records. Enhancing professional growth through education programs, conferences, and workshops is encouraged. Participation in required meetings and committees is expected, along with assuming responsibility for portions of the quality assurance program.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Completion of accredited course of study in radiologic technology or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
- One year of experience as a radiology tech preferred.
- Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Current state permit as General Diagnostic Radiographer.
Work Environment
The position is based at the North Ames Urgent Care Clinic with working hours on Monday and Tuesday from 8:00am to 7:00pm. You will work one shift at the main clinic, most likely on Wednesday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Every other weekend, you will work from 8:00am to 4:00pm, earning an extra $2.50 per hour. The role requires approximately 36 hours per week. The job offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, 401(k), and PTO.
