The Opportunity We are looking for a compassionate part-time Evening Intensive Outpatient Therapist to work with clients, identifying health issues relate to drug and alcohol abuse. The Evening IOP Therapist should also be able to work with patients' families where necessary.Candidates selected for this role will be expected to lead effective evening group sessions designed to impact clients diagnosed with substance use and co-occuring mental health diagnoses.


Our group format is designed to provide therapeutic group experiences in a dynamic, motivational, and inspirational format. This role is primarily designed for clinicians, medical professionals, addiction counselors, or peer support specialists.
To be successful as a Evening IOP Therapist, you should have excellent interpersonal skills and show empathy while remaining professional. A good Therapist identifies health issues relate to drug and alcohol abuse and recommends the best course of action for the individual's needs.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must be able to enforce program rules and demand accountability
  • Interacts routinely with clients, observes behaviors and communicates significant observations to the supervisor. Promotes interest in recreational activities
  • Engages with clients in activities and interactions designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals
  • Documents in client records timely, accurately, and appropriately
  • Applies de-escalation techniques to help manage clients emotions, behavior and participation in treatment
  • Assists with unit cleaning, organization of new admits charts, discharge process, filing, etc. Initiates client/employee incident reports
  • Diagnose and treat behavior health of client dealing with substance abuse
  • Facilitate sessions with individuals, groups, and families
  • Create and support treatment plan based on client needs
  • Monitor client progress during treatment
  • Will be responsible for providing various ecclesiastical duties in support of the company's and owner's core beliefs to include but not limited to: providing prayer to clients, leading Christian Bible studies/devotionals and providing practical biblical guidance


REQUIREMENTS:

  • License in the State of Kentucky as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT (required)
  • Masters Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or related field required
  • Experience in Healthcare / Behavioral Health is highly preferred
  • Comfortable working in a time-sensitive, confidential environment where there are continually changing priorities
  • Write and compose emails and letters that are grammatically correct
  • Must be very computer/software/internet savvy (Microsoft Office)
  • Comfortable in an environment where over-communication is needed
  • Exceptional communication and follow through skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work professionally
  • Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA laws regarding healthcare treatment
  • If in recovery, must have at least two (2) years clean time
