Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on the principles of applied behavior analysis.
- Conduct assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify behavioral issues and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
- Document medical information accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to provide support and education on behavioral health strategies.
- Monitor and record patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet individual needs.
- Provide direct care to children, utilizing effective communication techniques to engage and motivate them.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health and autism spectrum disorders.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Qualifications:
- Must have active BCBA or BCaBA certification and be in good standing with the BACB
- Experience in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client locations
- Ability to actively engage with clients, sit on the floor, go from sitting to standing unassisted and lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations effectively.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient confidentiality and data protection.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and their families.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support individuals in achieving their behavioral goals.
- BCBA/BCaBA license is required for this position.
