SUMMARY:
The Massage Therapist at Grand View Spa is an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences. They will ensure guests have an enjoyable, relaxing experience by engaging with them in a courteous and efficient manner.
The Spa Massage Therapist will provide a variety of touch modalities for our guests as listed in the Spa Menu which include massage and body treatments. By using outstanding guest service, they will also suggest products and services to meet the individual needs of each guest. As a Spa Massage Therapist at Grand View Spa, they will exemplify Snow King Resort and Spa culture while working to always provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Perform all massage services including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports and Prenatal massages and body treatments, following the established protocols, and allotted treatment times.
Understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Provide the highest level of guest-centric personalized service while maintaining an enthusiastic attitude.
Conserve and monitor supplies and assets of the spa. Inform Spa Director of product needs for backbar and retail.
Complete shift checklists daily, replenishing supplies, cleaning equipment and re-stocking laundry.
Directly set and maintain high standards of service and cleanliness.
Assist in the training of other team members as directed.
Assist with special projects, events and promotions as needed.
Promote spa services and products throughout the property.
Able to enthusiastically and consistently recommend home care products and services.
Recommend additional treatments to guests as appropriate.
Suggest preferably in written format home care products and treatments as appropriate.
Represent Grand View Spa and Snow King Resort in a positive and professional manner as requested.
Continually market the spa internally and externally by attending special events when requested and building relationships.
Use available time to help with spa operations as requested.
Clean and disinfect all equipment, including sinks and tables on a daily/service to service basis.
Ensure all sanitization standards of work areas are upheld.
Assist with lifting and storing facility equipment and products to help maintain facility and prepare for daily/special events.
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
Be fully aware of and comply with policies and procedures as identified in the service protocols
Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Report any guest and team member incidents or accidents immediately to the Spa Director.
Report immediately all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions to the Spa Director.
Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions as required.
Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
Must possess excellent communication and listening skills in English, both written and verbal.
Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.
Must be flexible on working days, mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in compliance with Pyramid Appearance Standards.
Must be professional and friendly in demeanor.
Must always ensure a teamwork environment.
Must be able to think proactively.
Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with guests and associates.
Must have the ability to resolve conflicts in a constructive and tactful manner.
Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess a current MBLEX or NCBTMB Certification.
Must be proficient in at least three additional specialty modalities, including Hot Stone and Salt Stone massages, and Muscle Energy Techniques.
Must have a minimum of one year verified hands-on experience.
Prior luxury spa experience a strong plus.
