Multi-Program Clinician

This role works interchangeably between three different programs: Specialized Family Support Program, Treatment Foster Care and the Parent and Family Empowerment Program.

Job Description:

1. Responsible for a case load of clients referred by the Department of Children, Youth and Families or community providers.
2. Collaborate with SFSP, TFC or PFEP Case Managers, DCYF, and outside providers to assess client and family needs.
3. Assess child and family needs to develop client-centered treatment plans and instructional strategies for SFSP, TFC and PFEP clients and families.
4. Assist clients and families in management of crisis situations.
5. Prepare status reports for court as needed.
6. Advocate on behalf of child/youth and their family, identifying and building on their strengths, responding to their needs, understanding cultural issues, and identifying service gaps.
7. Coordinate activities and materials that support all aspects of development.
8. Work directly with parents and children to apply instructional strategies.
9. Provide transportation for children enrolled in programs.
10. Maintain confidentiality when interacting with clients, families, and providers.
11. Conform to all requirements of Medicaid.
12. Utilize work time appropriately to maximize productivity.
13. Perform other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Special Skills:

• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Education, Psychology, Behavioral Health, or in a related field.
• Child welfare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities, child development, family assessment, functional behavioral analysis, positive program development, and community resources.
• Experience with negotiation, collaboration, problem solving, and decision making.
• Maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization. Employees need reliable transportation.
• Licensure required (BCBA, LICSW, LMHC, or LCSW)
