LPN Licensed Practical Nurse

Eklego is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join a team of nursing professionals working in a direct-hire position in the Quakertown, PA area. Currently we have full-time day shift with rotational on-call opportunities available working closely with individuals with intellectual disabilities.

What will I do as an LPN?

As an LPN you will collaborate with a team of RNs providing nursing oversight to CLA homes. You will work directly with the RN to support oversight of medical care/recommendations, paperwork, training, reinforcement of education, data collection, oversight of medication passing, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out the plan of medical care developed and implemented by the RN or the individuals we support.
• Observe for signs and symptoms of dysfunction of a person, document and collaborate next steps of care with the RN, complete hands-on care for people supported alongside staff to include all ADL's
• Advocate for people supported while in the hospital and provide end-of-life care within the residential setting
• Provide input to the RN for formulation and implementation of the care plan to meet the needs of each person supported

Requires:

• Valid Pennsylvania LPN license.
• Previous experience working with people having intellectual disabilities preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
• Able to listen and communicate well with others
• Valid driver's license in state of residence and acceptable driving record according to agency policy.
• Computer skills are helpful
• Some non-traditional hours are required to meet the needs of the individuals.
