Parts Consultant

The Parts Consultant is responsible for customer service and retail sales at an auto parts store. In this position, your responsibilities include selling parts and taking inventory of stock in storage and, if necessary, on shelves.

Pay: $12-$16 per hour

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
• Communicate with customer on parts status
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Be able to read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts - Snap-on catalog
• Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
• Pull and fills orders from stock
• Locates out of stock parts from outside source
• Charging and costing parts out
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up
• Basic inventory control functions
• Create and modify purchase orders
• Assist in putting away incoming freight
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification

• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Have experience with auto parts sales Preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment
• Are detail-oriented, have a professional appearance and a strong work ethic
• Great attendance is a must
• Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 50 lbs Stand or walk up to 4-5 hours of shift, Reaching, bending, twisting frequently.
