Diesel Engine and Construction Equipment Mechanic

DVA is seeking a skilled diesel equipment mechanic to join our

team. In this role you will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs of various

large and small trucks and in the fleet. You will work independently most of the time,

troubleshoot issues, and be responsible for researching and ordering parts as needed.

All tasks must be performed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

 Perform safe and cost-effective maintenance on heavy mobile equipment

 Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues with trucks and cranes as needed

 Must be able to read prints/manuals

 Conduct safety inspections and complete associated paperwork

 Maintain accurate records using the mobile app provided

 Communicate effectively with team members

 Promote and uphold safety standards

 Great record keeping and self-motivation is essential

Qualifications:

 Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License preferred

 Mechanic Certificate/License

 5 years’ experience as a heavy equipment mechanic preferred

 Strong skills for diagnostics

 Ability to troubleshoot gas and diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic

systems

Schedule:

 Monday-Friday, full time.

 Overtime may be required but it is rare
